ith all of the hustle and bustle, expectations and increased emotions, sometimes the holidays can find us drained and looking for a time for simply a 20 minute nap to re-energize.
Sometimes our excitement gets the better of us, as it would a young child, and we commit to more than we can do.  This is not a bad character flaw, but it is one that with work, can be tailored so that you still have your childlike enthusiasm, but also make sound and healthy decisions that you will be glad you made in hindsight.

One suggestion I've found helpful is to recognize that this season of giving doesn't not have to come but once a year. Spread out your gift-giving, so not only is your budget able to take a sigh of relief, but you will as well. Another suggestion is to immerse yourself in the moments that you enjoy and look forward to each year.  If you are allowing yourself to live in the moment, no matter what commitments you may have to cancel later, at least you know you enjoyed the ones you were able to attend. Don't save your enthusiasm and good cheer for tomorrow, it is in the every day that we find our joy. And always try to include a bit of exercise as not only will it help with maintaining your energy, but it will also help decrease stress.

As a way of relaxing and letting myself unwind, I love to get lost in books.  Recently, I picked up a book that had been sent to me by one of my readers and fellow bloggers earlier this year.  Her thoughtfulness and spirit of paying it forward was very touching, and I will never forget her kindness.  I found myself absolutely enthralled in the book as it is a fable about dreams and a promotion of having the courage to follow your heart and create your own personal legacy.  A tremendous thank you to Eva for her selfless generosity.  The book is featured in today's Weekend Reading, and I HIGHLY recommend it.

Keeping in mind that the less we fill our lives with, the more we have an opportunity to immerse ourselves in those things we love. The three part series Why Not . . . Make A Small Tweak? shares suggestions that will help you enjoy the holidays more as well as your every day life.

This week's newsletter is full of reasons to set forth and conquer your dreams, a variety of ways to change up your decor as you set out to decorate your tree and a look at some of the most luxurious collections shown on the runways during the Pre-Fall shows. Also, I'm happy to introduce you to another lovely subscriber to the newsletter, Tylar, who is the spotlighted reader today from South Carolina.  She reminds us that the simple and the luxurious can co-exist. Thank you Tylar for sharing your thoughts on luxury.

, I hope the holidays are coming along beautifully for you and that your energy level is exactly what you are wanting it to be. The wonder of the season is that often times, what we need is given if we are willing to ask for it with grace.  Have a lovely weekend, and until next week, I'll see you on the the blog!

How do you define luxury?

I define luxury as something that sets your mind at ease. You do not have to stress over it.

What luxuries do you enjoy in your every day routine?

For example I have my family as a personal luxury. They bring me joy in my everyday life. For material purposes I have clothing that I frequently buy from several hot spots. I have to mention this product which I have been using named Cure Natural Aqua Gel its  a revolutionary peeling exfoliation product. Composed mostly of hydrogen water, natural plant extracts of aloe vera, ginkgo and rosemary, the gel-like texture removes dead skin cells without being harsh on the skin.

I love this product and I also would like to mention Laneige skin products they are quite fabulous if I must say.

What luxuries do you hope to enjoy in the future?

More time experiencing the simple things in life: love, laughter, joy. I travel often and do not have time for those three things.
