,
Friday and a need for a breath has a arrived if you have been at work this week or kept yourself to task in any capacity or endeavor. Whether you have had the opportunity to travel or simply take time off from the regular work schedule this summer, taking a break, changing up your schedule and slowing down a bit is a necessity for living well.
I too have found myself a bit tired as of late, but I am thankful that it is in being involved with projects I love. I hope that is the same for you - being involved in work that fulfills you, work that you wake up excited to immerse yourself in and an
everyday routine you thoroughly enjoy. If you aren't at this point yet in your life, rest assured, it is absolutely possible.
But even when we love what we have the opportunity to do, even when we love the life we are building and the daily routines we have curated to elevate the everyday, changing up the routine, taking the foot off the gas pedal so to speak, is a good idea as well. I often find that no matter how much I enjoy my getaways, if I have done the work to create an everyday life that is well-structured, balanced and fulfilling, I sincerely look forward to returning to
it and appreciate it even more.
So today, before September arrives and schedules pick back up again, make sure you take a long breath, change your days up for a while in some way even if only you know of the change, even in seemingly small ways. Because even with small changes, great appreciation can be experienced.
This week on TSLL blog it has been French Week and including today's This & That post there have been 16 posts (including two new podcast episodes). Certainly, if you are a Francophile, TSLL is the place to be online, and I do so hope you are enjoying it. There will be four more posts - one more today, two more on Satuday and a round-up on Sunday. And while the regular blog postings will continue on their weekly schedule, the podcast will be taking
two weeks off before the brand new season (season 6!) kicks off with a new episode on Monday September 2nd. The taping of the entire second season of The Simply Luxurious Kitchen has concluded, and I am now putting the final producing touches on the episodes to bring the first to you on Saturday September 7th (there are 8 episodes which will run each Saturday in September and October).
