When you live in a place that is known for its brilliant bluebird days (crisp blue skies without a cloud in sight) or the inundation of stunning snow, to have a full week of rain is a special occasion. But it seemed as though Mother Nature was tipping her hat (she was wearing a fascinator this week, I do believe ;)) in approval of TSLL's inaugural British Week. I felt as much as I possibly could, being more
than 4000+ miles away from the British Isles, as though I was in Britain, and I could not have been more tickled.
This week we have been celebrating all things British on the blog, and thus far (the week continues through Sunday May 26th), I have thoroughly enjoyed the engagement and conversation that readers have offered not only with me, but with each other. Sharing ideas, insights, recommendations and more about what brands to look for when seeking out a sturdy umbrella, what films or books to view, places to visit and so
much more. Needless to say, TSLL's British Week will certainly return next year, as I am already gathering a list of ideas for posts and topics to cover and share.
With the final weekend of May upon us, the states begin our unofficial kick-off of summer with Memorial Day weekend. Staying home this year for the long break, I am excited to get outside in my yard, trim my lawn, plant a few more items in my mini garden, and then just relax. I have a few books that I am looking forward to finishing, and with a rainstorm in the forecast, the weekend should be
perfect.
Before diving into the newsletter, be sure to enter each of the giveaways (there are three this week) by Saturday May 25th. As well, stop by TSLL's Shop as the entire site - signed copies of TSLL's books, notepads (there are two new additions), planner pages and capsule menu notepads - is included when you spend $25 or more, you can receive 25% off everything with the promo code CHEERS25. The sale ends Sunday May
26th, so be sure to take a look.
There is so much to talk about regarding the content of this week's British Week, but instead of talking, I will wrap up so you can begin to peruse at your leisure. Perhaps with a cuppa? ;)
Wishing you a lovely weekend, and thank you for making the first annual British Week a wonderful occasion. Until next Friday, I will see you on the blog.
