Little by little, life comes together. And even though what comes together is never FOREVER permanent (some aspects longer than others most certainly), it is something that we will always know came to be true in our lives. Such memories will forever remain and provide moments of smiles whenever we reflect upon them.
Knowing this truth serves as a reminder to be fully present, savor, savor, savor, appreciate, appreciate, appreciate. But also to remember to be patient, to keep our eyes open, to say yes, to become more comfortable with life not following the order we had expected, and to realize the universe may actually be looking out for us better than we can look out for
ourselves.
As I shared on Instagram this week (see the image at the end of today's newsletter), a piece of furniture came into my life that I have been searching for to welcome home for some time. As I share in this post, my new-to-me round, pedestal oak dining
room table may not be everyone's choice, but it was a choice I have been quite certain would work best for my lifestyle and my style aesthetic preferences for years. As I will share in a post next week, I didn't expect to find it when I did, but I asked, I inquired, and I knew quite particularly what I was looking for. In a matter of seconds after asking for what I was looking for, I was told by the boutique owner that he may have what I would be interested in if I wanted to take a look at it.
One month later, it's in my home - purchased for a very reasonable price.
As I shared in my Instagram stories, the table has been found, finding a house of my own will be next. I had expected the order to be reversed, but it turns out, the universe had other plans. Patience Shannon, patience.
Now if you have been following TSLL blog for some time, you know I have owned my own house before and even a lovely oak dining table as well, but as I shared in the IG post linked above, the table I once had wasn't sturdy enough to travel with me nor large enough, but I was thankful to have had it for as long as I did. Now someone else, who welcomed it excitedly into their home, is enjoying it, and I couldn't be more tickled to have been able to enable it to be continued to be appreciated. That was nearly four years ago, when my house sold, when the table was sold, and I could not have imagined
I would find such a perfect table for where I am in my journey now, and also at an unbelievably affordable bargain. But I did, and I am buoyant about this find.
Conversely, I also didn't expect to be renting for as long as I have been, but that has worked out for the best as well I have come to realize. And with each month and year that I have the opportunity to trust life since I arrived in Bend, my patience and confidence deepens that it is all the universe's way of helping me navigate well in a manner that will best behoove me so long as I remain conscious,
stay apprised and continue to strive forward when opportunity presents itself.
