,
Last weekend I posted an image a month ago, I would have never even had the faintest idea to imagine in my mind's eye. As you will see in the Instagram pic at the end
of today's newsletter, I found a new bed for my master bedroom. A mahgony bed, complete with carved butterflies. My butterfly bed, as I like to call it.
Perhaps it is serendipitious to have arrived on the same weekend leading into the launching of TSLL's new book or perhaps it is just coincidence, but I am choosing to choose the former.
The past month, and arguable the past year, have been a schedule that is changing now that the
book is launched. A schedule that has kept me busy out of pure excitement, but also out of a few more than typical "to-do"s.
As I will share in an upcoming post, the arrival of the bed frame is a changing of the guard and beckoning to enjoy even more comfort, but also to revel in something that reminds me of France, but was made in my childhood hometown by an artisan I highly regard.
It's funny how certain details in our lives shift,
certain things come into or leave our lives when we least expect, but at the same time, prompt us to label such a shift or change in our lives with some sort of powerful significance.
I don't think this is a bad idea, whether it is fate that enabled such occurrences to take place or not. When we commemorate something in our mind, we are paying attention to our lives. We are noticing stages of growth, an opportunity to expand or become better aware of the life
we want to or finally realize we can live. Somehow it is a shedding of some sort of the past that we may have been unconsciously holding on to, and such a shift somehow gives us permission to let it go and move forward.
I am extremely excited for readers to have in their hands the new TSLL book. Some readers have already written to share how they are enjoying the book as it is long, but written in such a way that you can enjoy pieces and parts in short increments
of time, savor the content and then pick it up tomorrow. One reader shared she was enjoying a section in the morning with her hot cup of coffee and a section in the evening with a glass of wine. Both scenarios found inviting to me - a good book, something to sip and enjoy and time to unwind.
I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing how readers live their simply luxurious life in the pics shared on Instagram or emailed to me, and as you will see, readers prompted my
interview with Jennifer L. Scott which was posted just yesterday. I couldn't be more appreciative to be invited to be a part of her video series (the interview is linked below).
If you are celebrating Thanksgiving this coming Thursday, I hope you have a wonderful gathering, and if you are new to TSLL's weekly newsletter, welcome and thank you for subscribing. Wishing everyone a wonderful
weekend. Until next week, I'll see you on the blog!
