Adjustments are necessary. Regularly.
From adjusting our perspective to be broader about the world we live in, adjusting our eating habits
after a long, lovely holiday, or adjusting how and what we are doing on any given day, when we adjust, we give ourselves the opportunity to experience more contentment, more fulfillment, more appreciation and deepen our understanding of whatever may be presented before us.
I was reminded of the need to adjust as a means to perhaps welcome more enjoyment into my daily routine when after three weeks of a colleague urging me to watch
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,
insisting that I would absolutely enjoy it (his immediate reasoning was that Mrs. Maisel reminded him of me), I finally sat down on Monday night after the show won eight Emmys (including best comedy and best actress, supporting actress and writing) and began devouring the series. I am now on episode five and have been enjoying an episode a night. I am still not sure which part of Mrs. Maisel's personality my colleague equated with me (and I must-admit, I am not sure I want to ask), but
at this point, I am just glad he suggested it because I am absolutely enthralled as I shared in this week's Wednesday post (
10 Things That Made Me Smile This Week).
Needless to say, when we are choosing to adjust our lives, even the smallest, seemingly minute details, we are choosing to continue to learn, explore and consider that we may not have it all
figured out. And that is a choice - to forever remain a student of life. Because after all, the fountain of youth can be found in the choice to forever remain curious. And if we remain curious about how to improve our contentment, how to improve the everyday routines we include in our lives, how to improve the quality of our relationships at work and in our personal lives, how to improve the world we live in, our lives will never become stagnant, and we will continually find moments of
delight, even if it is something as simple as finding a thought-provoking show to enjoy in the evenings.

And now to the weekly newsletter! It was a full week on the blog. In fact, each day of the week, including the past weekend, at least one new post went live. From a list of Weekend Musings . .
. that I woke up and wanted to share on Sunday, to a beautiful new collection from Burberry that inspired Tuesday's Style Inspiration, but there is much more, so be sure to take a look.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend and beautiful start to fall (or spring!). Until next week, I'll see you on the blog!
