,
Thank you.
Thank you to TSLL readers and those of you who joined me on Instagram over the past month as I traveled throughout the
country of France. Thank you for taking the excursion to France with me, even if it was virtually, as it was a true pleasure to share what delighted me, offer peeks and glimpses of parts of a country that even I was seeing for the first time, and for engaging with me.
Thank you as well to readers who this week as I stepped back to the blog and shared a variety of posts about the lessons I discovered, offered warmth and ideas for easing back into everyday life. The
community you have created around TSLL is a community that inspires me, reminds me and thus others who are reading and seeing what is shared as well to explore, to extend kindness as a means of exhibiting strength and for being open to change and growth.
Speaking of change and growth, in order for any one of us to grow, we must be willing to step forward into arenas and circumstances that are unknown to us. To do this can cause us to feel both parts excitement and fear,
and even though I planned extensively for my trip to France, there were moments of uncertainty, but I kept stepping forward, addressing any hiccups that would arise with the determination to make it through as well as I could in order to continue to progress. And so too can you.
So too can you step into a new world, take a new direction, try a new strategy even when you do not know how it will work out. One of the keys for your success is to have a drive and/or
passion stronger than fear so that your curiosity outweights your worry. There is energy in curiosity, there is fuel in wanting to find out what we can achieve, attain, reach when we strike out in a direction that won't reveal its cards. And when we tap into this energy, we learn things about not only the world that we are exploring but about ourselves that we never knew, or were not convinced of to be true until events showed us differently.
In this week's newsletter, a
couple of my aha discoveries are shared regarding living a life of intention and cultivating contentment. As well, I have included a detailed post about my time Cooking with Patricia Wells in Provence. Be sure to watch the video which highlights the entire week long cooking class - it is placed at the end of the post. Also, episode #217 of the podcast, when you visit the show notes, shares pictures I captured of Sharon Santoni's cottage, which she invited me to stay during my last
weekend in France. Be sure to have a look at it as inspiration is plentify for those of us who gravitate toward French Country decor.
Thank you as well for understanding last week's hiatus as I rested up. I am thrilled to be back to regularly writing and posting, and am gearing up for this year's annual French Week as the content is abundant. I will be sharing more about the content of French Week exclusively here in the newsletter next
Friday.
Well, the weekend has arrived, and I am ready to enjoy it. How about you? WIshing you a wonderful couple of days to do as you most looked forward to all week. Until next Friday, I'll see you on the blog.
