Welcome. 

A new year has arrived, and as it is every year, a beautiful gift to do our best one more time. Nothing is promised or guaranteed, but just like a brand new day with no mistakes in it, so too is this brand new year. 

Throughout this week's newsletter, you will find an abundance of inspiration as I have included the past week's posts as well as the week of Top Posts of 2017 which were posted the last week of 2017. While the last week of the year is a week off from the regular schedule here on TSLL, it is also a week I have the chance to reflect and be reminded of all that has unfolded and been shared which makes it a very helpful and enjoyable opportunity as I prepare for a new year.

The week also found me taking a trip to Portland as I was invited to appear on KATU's Afternoon Live and AM Northwest. With my sit down conversation with Helen Raptis on AM Northwest, I broke down in specific terms how to discover your signature style and used my own journey as well as Helen's as examples, paired with pictures, so be sure to take a look at this segment if you too are trying to narrow in on your signature style. 

Lastly, yet another wonderful and talented guest has stopped by The Simple Sophisticate to discuss their journey, and this time it is Susan Hermann Loomis of On Rue Tatin. Mark your calendars for Monday January 22nd as I just taped our interview as she joined me from Provence, and I cannot wait to share with you our conversation (Julia Child is discussed as well as the stepping into the kitchen and making it a pathway to living well).
