Dive in and hold on.

Much of life is a question: What do you want? 

Some people choose the least resistant path: fewer worries, less struggle. I understand the motivation and in some avenues of my life, as I reflect upon my past, I no doubt took the least difficult, but if it involved something I was passionate about or something that would hold great significance or value in my life, my mom will tell you, I didn't choose the easy path. Nope. And I have a feeling you haven't either.

Now don't be mistaken, I didn't refrain from the facile path because I enjoy undue stress. Absolutely not. I wish the easy path was the preferred path by my conscience. Why I chose and continue to choose what seems to the outside world as the more challenging path is because it aligns with whatds is right for me. 

If you're reading this newsletter, I have a feeling you too have chosen what others may describe and maybe even yourself as the more difficult journey, but in so doing, you know it was the best for you. Because you see, we have to enjoy the journey, and when the journey's destination leads us to where we wish to go, the memories made along the away are more easy to appreciate and more times than not, savor as they are leading us in the right direction. 

For today, ask yourself, am I merely heading down the path I am traveling because the wind is at my back or is this the direction I would choose to go anyway? My hope for you is the latter, and even when you do choose a journey that pits you against the wind, rest assured, the many lessons you will learn, the strength you will build along the way, will prepare you for a most awesome outcome.
