Dreams can come true. They truly can.

And the only way I have found to experience extraordinary dreams coming to fruition in reality is to take big risks. Now, don't get me wrong, I have taken big risks and fell flat on my face, many, many, many times. But it only takes one success to be motivated to never stop trying until what you seek materializes.

What have you taken a risk for lately? What are you hoping materializes as you set your goals, have your hopes and dare to dream? May I today encourage you to stretch beyond what you think you are capable of and take that risk one more time if you haven't already attained what you seek? Regardless of your answer, you can probably guess, I am going to ask you to take that risk. Why? Because whether it is with career dreams, travel dreams, romantic dreams or personal, individualized dreams, the reality that can appear before your eyes has the capability of being something you never imagined in your mind's eye or perhaps brushed aside as utterly impossible.

But the good news is, your dreams can indeed come true. They truly can, and if the last four months to a year have been any indication, dreams (no matter how short or long they will last) do come true. But we have to have the courage to ask for them, be vulnerable for them and listen to ourselves so that we know what it is we actually do desire. Sometimes what we discover, we dismiss because we think it couldn't be possible that the universe would say yes. But the funny truth and the beautiful and exhilarating and heart-warming truth is, it does say yes. We just have to keep asking, investigating ourselves as we step nearer and nearer toward the truth of what is meant for each of us.

Okay, maybe that sounds too, I don't know, hokey, but in all honesty, it all begins with you. Be honest with yourself, fall in love with your own company, fall in love with living the life you get the opportunity to live each and every day and then have the courage to reach out and do what you want to do and be what you want to be.

I am telling you, beautiful, magnificent, extraordinary moments, individuals and lives await.

To provide some inspiration, this week's episode of the podcast details "10 Truths About the Independent Woman & Love". I enjoyed pulling this episode together as sometimes us independent women are misunderstood. I hope you'll take a look and see what resonates with you and what you might add.

As well, spring arrived this week in the northern hemisphere and with it a few posts to enjoy here on TSLL to kick off the new season (and year), a simple French snack, as well as a few spring items you might want to add to your wardrobe (plus, check out J.Crew's spring sale - 30% off everything!).

I do hope this week has gone well for you. As I shared on IG this past weekend, I have the opportunity to travel and spend time in South Korea this coming week. I want to thank all of the TSLL readers who shared recommendations and their excitement for me as I journey to a country I have never been and am eager to visit. I absolutely cannot wait, and I look forward to sharing glimpses of my journey on Instagram. So be sure to follow me @thesimplyluxuriouslife if you too are curious about how it will all unfold and what I will experience.

No matter where I travel, TSLL blog and The Simple Sophisticate podcast stays on its schedule. You can expect to find your regular inspiration, ideas and posts each day of the week, and perhaps a few extras as my travels reveal themselves. Wishing you a lovely weekend, and until next week, I'll see you on the blog.
