,
Time spent in the kitchen has always been something I've enjoyed. In many ways, it is my studio much like an artist. Now, don't get me wrong, no Picasso-esque meals are coming out of my kitchen, but the more I try, the more I attempt and experiment, the more confident and trusting I become with how certain ingredients work together, how certain flavors are created and what a
wonderful gift a homemade meal is whether you are living alone or living with others. Something to savor indeed.
As a way to make the time we spend in the kitchen more enjoyable and simplified as our lives are quite full, I have been working on a tool to make this necessary component of our lives
(time in the kitchen preparing healthy, but most definitely delicious meals) one of the daily rituals and routines that we truly look forward to.
As I mentioned at the end of last week's newsletter, TSLL Capsule Menu is finally ready to be released, and with it many, many details broken down into five different parts:
(1) clear objectives for choosing this approach to eating, shopping and cooking, (2) what to have on hand in your kitchen, (3) what skills to learn, (4) the foundation for each week's capsule menu to cultivate good, healthy eating habits, (5) a simple approach to weekly grocery shopping and a sample weekly menu to get you started.
I absolutely cannot wait to share it with you on Wednesday August 3rd, so be sure to stop by as it is a post full of information and an opportunity to practice your French in your everyday life. A sneak peek! Have a look at the Capsule Menu Weekly Shopping/Planning Pages (one in English and yes, one in
French!), and you can select either a digital download or a 50-page notepad (full-color) which will last an entire year (minus two weeks for the holiday's extravagant events and menus). I want to send out a much-deserved thank you to TSLL reader who lives in France, Sandra, who provided the translation for the French version of the planning pages. Merci beaucoup pour votre expertise.
In other news, TSLL readers have requested since January of this year when TSLL Planner Pages were released for me to make available a compact size version. And finally (thank you very much for your patience, I
know it has taken awhile) they are available. I have an entire post explaining what is available this week, and the good news is, they are slightly cheaper than the Classic version. Measuring 4.25" x 6.75", two planning pages are on each full sheet of paper, and all of the options and additional extra pages
are available as well. I do hope you enjoy!
I am regularly left humbled by you, the readers and listeners of the blog and podcast, and I want take just a quick moment to thank you. The readers of TSLL brand are thoughtful, intelligent, curious individuals as evidenced by the emails, questions, comments and reviews I receive. Thank
you for taking the time to stop by this blog because I know you have endless options. Your interest is what continues to push me to explore more, share more, investigate further and try to understand all that I am curious about so that we all can live our best lives. It truly is possible, and as Oprah's quote reminds "I know for sure that what we dwell on, is who we become." Let's dwell in possibility, optimism, hope and inner-strength that may we use to propel us to reach our full
potential, and thereby the world's full-potential.
