 ,

Weeks seem to take on a personality of their own, don't they? Upon arriving at the end of the work week, sometimes Monday can seem ages ago, while others seem to zip by with no problem. I guess it all depends upon how productive and content we feel about the outcomes that have occurred during the seven days (or five, depending upon how you look at it), but amazingly enough, one powerfully positive event or experience can override any angst or negativity.

I found this to be certainly true this week when an unexpected event happened which reminded me of what I was searching for. It's funny how life can work that way.  When we choose to simply move forward toward the goal or way of living that sits well with our purpose and let go of things that are out of our control, we don't have to force, we don't have to cajole and life really does move and open up in a way that works well for us in our time.

Sometimes we want events to occur that only in hindsight can we know we weren't ready for which is why they couldn't have possibly happened or worked out well according to our naive time schedule. In other occurrences, sometimes life shows us a glimpse of what we seek as a motivator to keep on forging forward. Not to tease, but to inspire.

The reminder I want to share this week, is something I needed to be retaught as well, trust your life. By no means sit idly by, but trust that so long as you are making progress and doing what you can, taking advantage of opportunities, it will unfold as it should.

In this week's newsletter, the blog has slowly begun to evolve as a new series began this Wednesday. While I share more in detail on this week's post, The English Classroom series (with alternating weekly posts between Good Grammar Is . . . and Word of Week) will appear each Wednesday in a short and sweet manner.

And in other big news, this week's episode of The Simple Sophisticate broke personal records as it became the most downloaded episode and shared post of all time on TSLL. My Francophiles and fashion lovers I have a feeling will quite enjoy themselves, so do be sure to tune in or stop by.

And lastly, a peek into my life went live on Thursday as Christy Linens shared with me a bedding set that is pure luxury. Clothing my very own boudoir in their Maddox sheet set, have a look at the simplicity that I find to be quite tranquil. But more importantly, this post (which is this week's Thoughts from the Editor post), shares nine specifics on how to ensure a sound and restful night's sleep.

Now for the weekend as it patiently waits to be enjoyed, and I do hope you indulge. Until next week, I'll see you on the blog.
