Life has many amazing gifts to offer each of us, and believe it or not your gifts will differ from mine and will undoubtedly arrive at different times and in different circumstances; however, they may bring the same sincere euphoria and excitement. I mention this because to know what will make
another human being happy absolutely is next to impossible. Yes, the more we know the person, the more time we spend with them and the more opportunities we get to observe them as they go about their days, we may have a better inkling as to what makes them become alive, but it is important to note and recognize that each of us has our own path we must take to tap into the unique nature that resides within us all.
You see, we can look to role models and those who have traveled the path we desire to traverse and observe how their lives unfolded, learning from their mistakes. This is absolutely encouraged, but to expect the same results, same events, same feelings would be ill-advised. Why? Because we bring our own
unique observations, talents and experiences with us as did the person before us to make the magic that inspires us now manifest itself.
We must be brave enough to realize that while we can seek out advice from others, read books to gain a deeper
understanding of a concept, event, etc., we need to have the courage to ford our own path. Along this path we choose, we will undoubtedly use the knowledge we gained, the wisdom others provided us as well as knowledge from our previous mistakes, but to assume our lives must mimic that of another, no matter how much we respect them, is to stunt the growth our life wants to reveal to us.
Find the courage within yourself as this new year begins to forge your own path, dive into your own unique experiences that perhaps nobody you know has experience with. Trust your instincts, intuition and proceed with patience. I am confident you will not regret your experience, and I have a feeling you may just thoroughly
surprise yourself with what you discover.
