Yep, the holiday season has
officially begun. Can you feel it? Do you like it? Or do you at times feel out of sorts? For me, it depends. Each year is different, but with each year an opportunity is presented. To reassess, to reflect, and to appreciate.
More than anything, whether the holidays go as planned or run completely off
the rails, if the remaining eleven months of the year have found a balance, a routine that we have found to be productive, yet rejuvenating, the holidays can be more easily enjoyed. In fact, the holidays can unfold as they will and provide for all sorts of entertainment, spontaneous moments and memories to reflect upon and savor years down the road.
When we refrain from placing too much expectation on the holidays to produce magical results, solve all of our ills and leave us miraculously better off than we were before they began, we are better able to sit back and just enjoy. In other words, we perhaps should set an intention for what we want our holiday season to look like, but then we must let it go and not hold rigidly to expectations of what we think it should
produce.
In this week's podcast, listeners discovered eight simple strategies for preparing for the holiday season, and at the core, it is all about preparing and then, yep, letting go. While initially this may seem frustrating, it is actually quite liberating.
And if you are looking for tips and strategies about how to create the balance and fulfillment outside of the holiday season during the other eleven months, be sure to check out my new book which has just been launched and will arrive by December 16th - Choosing The Simply Luxurious Life: A Modern Woman's Guide. Full of the foundational tools for building your very own simply luxurious life based on your passions and regardless of your income, relationship status or age, this just
might be the book to kick off 2015. The "Look Inside" feature has just been added on Amazon, so you can now read a handful of select chapters to get an idea of what the book is all about.
Speaking of the holiday season, I have a laundry list of sales and promo codes you don't want to miss for Black

Wishing you an auspicious

P.S. Many readers have asked if they will still be able to order a signed copy
since the pre-order date has passed. The good news is yes! Beginning December 16th, you will be able to order a signed copy directly from the blog here. The only reason I am putting a pause on collecting
signed copy orders is to ensure those readers who pre-ordered receive their books by December 16th as a we are busy keeping up (my office looks like a mini bookstore, and I couldn't be more thrilled, but I want to keep my word to those readers who have been waiting patiently, many since August to receive their copy). If I am able to begin accepting orders sooner, the button will go live at that time. Thank you very much for your interest!
In the meantime, if you'd like to order an unsigned copy and receive it via Amazon in time for the holidays, you can do so here.
