One of the biggest lessons life has taught me and
continues to check back in to make sure I haven't forgotten is to remember to have patience - especially when it comes to something worth waiting for.
Having addressed this valuable life lesson of anything worth
having taking time to materialize and blossom at its own pace on the blog a couple of times in the past few years, when I'm introduced to something I am eager to welcome into my life, I have to remind myself to take a breath.
However, taking a breath does not mean doing zilch in the progress toward your dream. Absolutely not. In fact, in order to welcome tranquility to your state of mind while you wait patiently, you must do everything in your control to the best of your ability: educate yourself so as to make the best decision, eat well to fuel your
body for the race you may be training for or front-end load so that when the opportunity you've been waiting for finally approaches, you can pounce.
I continue to be shown that good things indeed take time.
Because while it may seem that there are overnight successes and out of the blue wonders, often if you look behind the curtain you'll discover an immense amount of planning and prepping followed by patiently waiting for the opportune moment to present itself. In other words, it will pay off in the end.
In this week's newsletter, the return of a long for waited Francophile post turned out to be the readers' favorite. Also, the capsule wardrobe is something I absolutely swear by when it comes to looking our best without draining our clothing budget, but what about special occasions? I
tackle the "how" of creating a special occasions' capsule wardrobe in this week's Why Not . . .? post.
As school is out for the summer beginning tomorrow, I am giddy to throw myself full-time into blog projects. With a giveaway I can't wait to reveal next Friday, a book to finish up, a podcast to fine-tune for its debut in the fall and the opening day of sign-ups for capsule wardrobe styling sessions being announced at the end of this month, I am looking forward to sharing all what is in store for TSLL these next few months.
I want to wish you a lovely and rejuvenating weekend whatever your plans may be. Thank you for choosing to subscribe to TSLL newsletter, and until next week, I'll see you on the blog.
