,
One of the things I enjoy doing when I travel
abroad to Paris and London is spending time in one of the many parks or gardens. Small or large, it doesn't matter, rather all I look for is a quiet respite away from the city's hustle to savor a slice of Mother Nature.
In fact, the two places I have enjoyed spending time in in the past was the Jardin du Palais Royal in Paris and a private resident's only gardens in London. Remarkably quiet, I would sit or stroll for some time, simply getting lost in a journal entry, leisurely lunch or even a nap.
Why I bring this up is because part of living a simply luxurious life is having the ability and the wherewithal to seek out similar moments no matter where in the world we might reside.
This summer, for the first time in three years, I will not be jetting over the Atlantic to wander the streets of Paris. And, curiously, I've paid it no mind. Why? Well, for two reasons really: one, I am confident that I will return again, and two, I've found ways to bring a little bit of what I love about Paris into my daily routine no matter where I might be.
For example, yesterday afternoon, I had a few empty hours and so decided to head to the exquisite Pioneer Park in Walla Walla. With my dogs in tow, a blanket, a book and a journal, two hours quickly passed. With the soft breeze, chirping birds and beautifully
landscaped grounds, I was able to create a Parisian moment that could never actually have been appreciated in the City of Light. Why? Because I was able to have my dogs at my side.
You see, the element of
knowing why you love what you do regarding Paris or any other beloved location is knowing where to seek similar moments of simple luxury in our day-to-day lives. This magical, yet simple formula is one of the primary keys to creating your simply luxurious life no matter where you may find yourself calling home.
In this week's newsletter, another simple formula is shared regarding making the best decisions to render the results you desire. Have a look at "The 'How' of Tailored Simplicity" for the four succinct questions you need to answer in order to reach your goal and be satisfied when you arrive.
And for those of you who have been waiting to schedule an online styling session to create a fall or spring capsule wardrobe, the sign-ups are about to begin. Starting next Friday June 27th, I will be opening up sign-ups to six people. The number is limited because the
window is short. Beginning the week of August 4th and concluding the week of September 8th, one session will be available each week on a first come first serve basis. All the details on what a styling session entails are shared on the Stylist Services page, but feel free to email me with questions.
While the price for an entire capsule wardrobe will remain at $400, if you sign up and pay the 50% deposit by Friday July 11th, you will receive a 10% discount. In
order to reserve your spot, you must pay your deposit ($200) within a week of emailing me to request a session. Once a week has passed, your spot will be given to the next person on the waiting list.
So beginning next Friday,
when you receive TSLL newsletter, simply reply to the newsletter requesting the styling services you would like to sign up for (I will not be accepting emails for sign-ups until the 27th). I will email you with 24 hours to confirm your place on the list. If you are placed on the top 6, an invoice will be sent to your email address which means you have a confirmed styling session to create a capsule wardrobe that will complement your lifestyle and let your best self
shine.
And with that, before we jump to quickly to fall wardrobes, summer begins tomorrow (or winter for my Aussie readers!). In the blink of an eye, June is more than halfway over, and I haven't even
shopped for a swimsuit yet. Yikes! Needless to say, I am thrilled the season has arrived and look forward to the long evenings of daylight, sipping a glass of rosé and taking naps when the mood strikes me.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and until next week, I'll see you on the blog.
