Plans working out precisely as you had imagined, a mutual affection between two new lovers, a dream job
offer leaving you with the choice to change your future.
Sometimes life works out so beautifully that we forget to appreciate how amazing such occurrences are, until . . . nothing seems to be going as planned . . . the love life, the career path, the daily routine. No matter what you seem to attempt, destiny
seems to keep stopping you from unearthing what you know you think you need to be content.
It's funny how life follows contours and unknown side roads we didn't even know existed and often introduces us to a secret garden of abundance we would never have known was available to us if our initial plans had
worked out.
Sometimes what we thought we wanted, upon being presented our wish, seems surprisingly to be a consolation prize to the life we have now begun to live (maybe, in the beginning reluctantly, but without realizing it, now with resolute passion and joie de vivre). And isn't that the breaking news we
never could have imagined?
Life has a magnificent power of surprising us in wondrous ways. And isn't that reason enough to give something we are unfamiliar with a shot?
"If life can remove someone you never dreamed of losing, it can replace them with someone you never dreamt of having."
This idea of life having more breath-taking
plans for us than we could imagine has been giving me pause for the past few months. And while I still don't have the slightest idea of what life has in store for me, it has already taken me down a path that I couldn't have imagined regarding the gift that is TSLL. I have a feeling you too have something in your life that is grander than you could have predicted, and if right now you are in a quandary, perhaps what life is asking us to do is take a deep breath, do the beloved
things you love doing on a daily basis, be present and discover the opportunities that present themselves. Who knows, the gift of your life may be just around the corner so long as you not force the bud to bloom before it is ready.
In
this week's newsletter a couple of peeks into my life were revealed, and while I was initially uncertain about whether I should open my doors to my home to a virtual tour, so far the response as been very warm and celebratory. For that I want to thank you so very much. The first in a four part series of a tour of my home began this week with the dining room (an exclusive image not shared on the blog is included below for newsletter subscribers below). Comprised of yard sale treasures and custom
furniture investment pieces, it is my hope to inspire you to go out and create your own unique and welcoming sanctuary no matter what your income. It truly is possible.
