,
I don't know about you, but I am ready for winter to pack up its bags and for spring to usher in warmer weather. And while I can wish and hope and beg and plead for this to happen, all of my energy expended is fruitless because well . . .
it's January here in the northern hemisphere. As someone recently pointed out to me, this time of year is a wonderful opportunity to plan, organize, and prepare so that when the weather finally does tip toe over the above freezing mark and the daylight outlasts the moon's domain we can make the most of the opportunities to travel, work outside and enjoy ourselves as much as possible.
So after nodding in agreement after my momentary venting was complete and realizing that my wishes were for not, I realized while I have done quite a bit of planning when it comes to my resolutions, there is more ironing out and dreaming I can be doing. So this weekend, I will be working on the tail end of a project I have been engrossed in for the past few months now which I am
hoping to share with you sometime next fall, as well as finesse my monthly financial budget per the advice discussed in this week's Why Not . . . ? post.
The gift of the seasons is that there are opportunities for renewal and celebration, but also opportunities to assess and reorganize and that is exactly what January offers. After the previous few months emaciate our gift-giving budgets and challenge our waistlines, January gives us time to catch our breath, fine-tune our health habits and align our lives so that the year ahead can be as fruitful, fun and fabulous as we dream it could be. Such expectations are not
wishful thinking. Thought provokes action and action procures results. If we put forth the necessary planning and intelligence gathering so as to reap what we desire, it can happen. So this weekend I am labeling my efforts as an investment, an opportunity to invest in a future that will be full of warmth and sunshine.
I hope you too have a wonderful weekend snuggled up staying warm, perhaps with a cup of hot chocolate, a good book or magazine and time to relax. Until next week, I'll see you on the blog!
