The Simply Luxurious Life in Paris & More! #157

Finally, the newsletter has returned from its two week annual vacation, and there is a lot to catch up on. Paris offered its best when it came to weather, shopping, food and opportunities to explore, learn and grow, and I am so excited to share all of the photos, ideas and information I came home with.

Today's newsletter is organized just a bit differently. You will find all of the posts inspired by Paris organized together on in the right-hand column, followed by the regularly weekly and extra posts that appear on the blog.

Also, for any readers planning on traveling to Paris in the future, an exclusive opportunity of discounted accommodations is being offered from Haven in Paris, so be sure to check out "A Luxurious Travel Sanctuary". With an opportunity to tour four of their properties, I came away impressed with the top quality and one-on-one attention each customer receives when they choose to rent with this American based vacation rental company.

If you have plans for a summer dinner party, I've created a new series where I help out with the menu planning, one that ensures a delicious meal as well as a serene and relaxed cook when the guests arrive. Have a look at the inaugural post - "A Small Summer Dinner Party Menu".

So much more for you to discover in this week's newsletter - fabulous shopping finds, a wonderful Francophile book, two of my new favorite summer television programs and much, much more. Pour a cup of hot tea or coffee, find some place comfortable to prop your feet up and I do hope you enjoy.

Until next week, I will see you on the blog.

All right, it's warm; it's very warm outdoors, but that doesn't mean that our style should suffer. In fact, it encourages dresses to be the item of choice, and I find dresses to be the easiest wardrobe decision to make. No need to match a top and bottom, choose one adored dress, slip it on, and done!

While on Monday I mentioned my summer staple, the shift, a simple halter dress is also especially comfortable as it creates a very feminine neckline that allows the dress to be worn day or night.

Pair with flats or heels, a simple statement making cuff - loving Rachel Zoe's in this week's Splurge outfit - a large clutch that adds the pop of color if choosing a neutral color dress, and rest assured that look chic and will feel comfortable for the entire day or evening.

The one dress I forgot to pack for my trip to Paris was Anthropologie's French column dress (Save dress above). Oh, how it would have been perfect for even dining paired with a neutral summer wedge, a scarf to stay warm if necessary and a simple tote. Oh well. More room in my luggage to bring fashionable treasures home.
