Celebrating the Fourth of July yesterday here in the states caused me to ponder the luxury and responsibility freedom brings to each of our lives.
With the news of Egyptians responding to the government they voted for just over a year ago, demanding via protests that the government be inclusive and be a voice of all people rather than a religious few, it was an eye-opening reminder that we can never be passive and complacent in the quest or attainment of freedom (learn more here).
In order to ensure that the life we want and value materializes, we must always be making conscious decisions, taking responsibility for the decisions we do make and not wasting opportunity when it presents itself.
While the endless options of choices can be debilitating, if we aren't clear about what we want, it can be easy to become overwhelmed; on the flipside, such infinite options can be the pathway to designing exactly what we desire because we can carefully tailor, edit, and add precisely what we seek.
This week's post from the archives offers a few tips on how to go about being the artist of your ideal life. Have a look . . .
Next week, I am thrilled to share that The Simply Luxurious Life will be hopping on a plane bound for Paris which means that the newsletter will be on vacation for two weeks (resuming on Friday July 26th with an extra full edition). However, the blog will be busy at work as it will be investigating, perusing, and exploring many different adventures, shops and sites that are calling for my attention. While the regular postings of the blog will be put on pause, I will be posting throughout my trip as I am inspired and weekends will not be off limits. I do hope you fill stop by and feel free to follow me on Instagram as I will be posting daily as I make my way around Paris.
Speaking of Paris, the fall couture collections were on display this week, so I gathered a few of the highlights from each of the four days on the catwalk. Two of my favorite collections were Armani Prive and Jean Paul Gaultier.
I do hope the first week of July has treated you well, and I can't wait to take you all along with me to the City of Light. A bientot!
