More confidence, less complaining.
I've decided recently on the above motto. While superficially, such a statement would seem obviously in order to attain success, it can be at times easier said than done. However, life has revealed that the more I complain, the less time I have to accomplish my goals, and the more confidence and faith I have in myself to achieve what may initially appear to be difficult, the more likely I am to successfully attain what at first had seemed to be impossible.
After all, if you're complaining, you're not strategizing and problem solving. On the flipside however, if you're focused on what you can do, the limited energy you have is being utilized in the most helpful way to attain your goals.
When we finally realize that our lives and our time our finite, we become more scrutinizing about how we spend our thoughts and our waking hours. After all, everyone has exactly the same amount every single day. We can either choose to use the hours productively or waste them away hoping a magical fairy godmother will come in and rescue us. You would be correct to assume I'm not putting much stock in the latter.
So from this day forward, I'm banking on myself, I'm letting go of the whining, and I'm going to have confidence that what I'm willing to work for, I will turn into my reality. Are you with me?

In this week's newsletter, Wednesday's Why Not . . . ? post captured readers' attention and wonderful comments on the blog were shared. I'd be curious to know how you feel about dining alone. Please do take a moment to share your thoughts.
This week New York Fashion Week wrapped up in the city, but not without many wonderful fall fashions sharing a glimpse of what we can expect in stores in August and September. Have a look at my top picks here. While not one designer completely captured my attention, a wide array of designers created pieces that fit my definition of simply luxurious and would work quite well in a capsule wardrobe for years to come.
Also, many of you have been asking where to find archived posts. Simply stop by my Pinterest page as posts are organized by Monday's Inspiration, Wednesday's Why Not . . . ?, This & That, and Style Inspiration as well as by the year they were posted
here to see all of the pinterest boards.
As I've said many times recently, I am eagerly awaiting spring's arrival, and when I stepped outside just this past week I caught a glimpse of my daffodils trying to poke their heads up. You can probably imagine how big my smile was. Even though we are still wrapping up the chills and comforts of winter, simply knowing that warmth, blossoms and color are around the corner make this time of year full of grand anticipation.
On that note, I hope you have a wonderful weekend whether you are busy flying or driving as you get out of town or lounging and relaxing at home. Thank you for taking the time to read this week's newsletter, and
until next week, I'll see you on the blog.
