hen opportunity knocks, it usually doesn't ask if now is a good time. It usually arrives unannounced and requires you to determine how badly you want whatever it has to potentially offer.
However, the important fact to keep in mind is first, it isn't guaranteeing it will be in your area again; and secondly, it's knocking and you were insightful enough to notice and that is something to not brush aside lightly.
Recently, a few opportunities in both my professional and personal life have presented themselves, and after letting the ideas and potential ways they could change my life roll around in my head for awhile, the two major points that I felt were worth not forgetting were those mentioned above.
Sometimes we forget how fortunate we are when opportunities pop up unexpectedly. Sometimes by the opportunity revealing itself, we become a little cocky, assuming if it happened once, it most surely will happen again. While sometimes that may be true, depending upon what is being offered, most the time, if it does, it will find you at an entirely different place in your life and that particular place may be one that wouldn't revel in the gifts it has to offer as much as it would have originally.
Ultimately, what it comes down to for each one of us is how does it fit within our priorities? How does it match up with what we deem most important in our lives? And are we making the decision for ourselves or somebody or something else? Once we are honest with ourselves on each of these three questions, then the answer will be much easier to make. I hope that many an opportunity comes your way no matter what stage you are in your life, but more importantly, I wish for you to always receive such opportunities with of an attitude of gratitude, so when you find yourself in such a position, you will always feel rich and be able to make the best decision.
This week's newsletter is full of style, thoughts to ponder and places to shop. In Monday's inspirational post, I couldn't help but talk about the stereotypes that society perpetuates, and since we are each of part of this society, I had to write this post and I am curious to know what you think.
There are so many fun, yet fantastic trends that can easily be turned into pieces worn year after year, and I was fortunate to share a few of my picks on Lifestyle and Charity's blog - click here to view the four items that not only are easy to find in stores this fall, but will be something that will last for more than one season.
No matter what goes on during my week, I love to get lost in fashion. I'll admit it is an a realm to escape into and get lost in with all of the items to dream and pine over, but I must say, this week's Style Inspiration is full of lovely outfits, and I had to force myself to stop at the few that I included. Have a look here.
Can you believe October will begin on Saturday? Where did September go? Needless to say, I am ready and willing to do a bit of pumpkin shopping, peruse the nurseries as they place their plant and pottery on sale before hibernating for the winter and take in some football, as well as watch some baseball as the playoffs kick off. There's something about bundling up and cheering on your favorite team with a cup of something warm in your hand. Anyway, I do hope you are doing well and have a wonderful weekend getting lost in your favorite pastimes. Until next week, I'll see you on the blog.

Sometimes a simple slimming black outfit just needs a beautiful piece that shines. This metallic top can be layered for a casual look for worn along with a skirt or trousers for a more polished ensemble. Either way, it is a wonderful addition to a fall and winter wardrobe for those occasional cocktail parties or a casual night on the town.
