There is just something subtly romantic about the fall. Maybe it's me, but the excuse to stay indoors or the treat of dancing through the leaves just offers opportunities to become a bit star crossed and playful. This week in the revival of a three part series that began in 2010, I shared my favorite simple pleasures to revel in during the fall season and a handful of readers shared as well. I just couldn't help being wrapped up in all the loveliness fall has to offer, and I wanted to share.
Maybe fall is so welcomed because it is not laden with societal expectations. In other words, there are no required festivities (Thanksgiving is more of a gathering, then a situation for gifts and parties and such), no long trips away to plan, pack and save for, so instead you can enjoy it in any way you choose. This is not to say you can't during the other seasons, but there just seems to be a sense of relief in the fall.
Everyone has their favorite season for one reason or another, and regardless of which one calls your name, any season that brings memories to cherish, bright opportunities and time with family and friends is a good season indeed.
