"You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness
of your intuition. What you'll discover will be wonderful. What you'll
discover is yourself."

ne of the most important lessons to learn as early as possible in life is to understand that living a fulfilling life is simple but reaching this realization and maintaining this clarity isn't easy. While a complexing paradox, once we grasp what the essentials are in life that make it its most rewarding, we must be vigilantly strong and cast aside distractrs that will try to lead us down the wrong path for their benefit and not ours. And that is the part that isn't easy. The more I learn, see and experience, the more I become aware that so often each of us and the decisions we make determine our fulfillment. The decisions that bring instant gratification, the decisions that please our family or friends, the decisions that put money in the salesman's pockets and the decisions that frustrate our neighbors and enemies are the decisions that make life much more complicated than it needs to be.
However, when we make decisions that stay true to what we most value (and none of these things should in fact be things but instead concepts such as security, love and sincerity), then we eliminate unnecessary burdens and thereby create more self-respect, peace of mind and stability.
While this week on the blog I have been sharing the simply luxurious collections from New York Fashion Week (and there have been many as you may have notice or will see below), I want to explain that while many of us won't be purchasing these actual items (including myself), what these shows reveal to me and to you as well hopefully is a way to notice what speaks to us, what catches our attention, and then realizing that how we adorn ourselves each day is our conversation with the world before we ever have a chance to say a word. Fashion can appear confusing and intimidating, as can life, but when we are in tune with what speaks to us and the life we want to live and thus project to the world, the decisions of what clothes we wear and what priorities to focus on in our daily goings-on becomes very simple. Today, if you have time, be sure to take a look at Wednesday's Why Not . . .? post as I focus on the general essentials that are necessary for each of us to live a rich and fulfilling life.
