ife has a funny way of showing us the way if only we are always keeping our eyes open. And in the same case and point, what you look for, you will discover.

Keeping that in mind, our eyes and ears should always be primed and ready for information, but why not give life a winning chance? Why not read books that are uplifting, be in the company of hopeful people, create experiences with a huge potential for joyful moments by always presenting your best foot?

All of us play a tremendous part in what life brings into our day to day lives by the attitude we bring to each day. Sometimes it is not easy to see the goodness, and in those instances such positive efforts should be seen as investments for grander occurrences down the road. After all, you never know who witnessed your kindness to the store manager or your effort to pick up trash that was strewn about when you knew no one was looking.  Set an example, be who you want to become, and you eventually will cause it to become a reality in your world.

The recent release of January 2011 magazines, especially RealSimple and O Magazine are the monthly issues I especially look forward to because of the many articles to help begin the new year with a ginormous amount of hope and optimism.  So as this year comes to a close, I plan on gathering up a handful of said magazines, watching a few fun DVDs and dreaming of a fabulous new year.

In this week's newsletter, the Why Not . . . Achieve Your Dreams? series continues with the first six steps to creating a solid foundation in which your dreams are sure to grow successfully.  Monday's Motivational post adds even more surefire ways to help you continue on your path to achieving your dreams in With Balance & Determination. And to exemplify both of these points, Tory Burch, who only began her business in 2004, is the focus of the Rules of Style series.

And in an effort to begin thinking about creating our best life, finishing 2010 with our best efforts so that 2011 can start out with a beautiful bang, check out the first part in the series Why Not . . . Improve Your Life?

Life can be better than we ever imagined with fantastic determination, an open mind and appreciation for what life is affording us, and the belief that dreams can become our reality. I hope this holiday weekend before Christmas finds you well with spirits lifted, so until next week, I'll see you on the the blog!

How do you define luxury?

For me, luxury is the ability to choose who I want to be and dictate the kind of life I wish for myself; the opportunity to explore other cultures and being able to embrace my femininity.

What luxuries do you enjoy in your every day routine?

A cup of T2's chai tea or Madame Flavour's green, jasmine and pear tea in the morning and at night after dinner; a spritz of perfume; matching manicure and pedicure; cooking dinner for others; using my home made whipped shea-grapeseed butter on my skin

What luxuries do you hope to enjoy in the future?

A home of my own built from scratch with numerous solar panels, a black zodiac reconstituted marble worktop in a lavender coloured kitchen and a Hangrohe water recycling system; making bath and skincare products for my family; the ability to give more to charity; be able to speak French & Italian fluently
