The snow's arrival prompted much bouncing of joy from Nelle, and if I am being honest, for me as well. We bounded up the mountain for our first ski last Saturday and were greeted by a pristine blue sky, ideal 28-degree (F) temperatures, and the lightest of powder snow experienced in recent years. A gift to conclude the year it was.

I hope as you look around your life that you can pinpoint with appreciation many gifts such as these, as well as details that are not entirely of our own making, but when we take note of them, savoring them, the enjoyment of the moment rises. 

As we toodled back down the mountain, both exhausted, as at one point, we were breaking trail as the majority of the snow bunnies at our sno-park (dogs too are welcome) were from out of town, and knowing the trail as we did, decided we could share where a secondary loop was possible to explore, Nelle slept soundly, and I had a smile from ear to ear. The first annual outing of any kind is a treasured event, and we had experienced a gem I will forever remember fondly. 

As TSLL concludes 2025, the newsletter includes the regular December postings, along with a handful of end-of-year round-ups and reflections. What a year it has been, a year that has in many ways strengthened the clarity of what living simply luxuriously is, found TSLL members meeting each other in person in Paris, launching the Intro to French Cooking class, and so much more. As for what to look forward to in the new year, look for a newsletter to arrive in your inbox tomorrow, filled with the regular posting schedule and details about two new series that will kick off in January, along with a few other extra surprises and details.
