Happy Easter! And Happy Spring! 

The last time we "met", spring had yet to arrive, but now here we are, and oh my goodness, it is a special season ☺️. Whether you are stepping into spring or fall, I hope it has begun well for you.

Yesterday arrived with slightly warmer temperatures and glimpses of blue sky offering brilliant sunshine, so we all scampered out to the garden and had a wonderful time. And while my body may have ached by evening, my smile was equally felt. The nourishment received by tending to the space of ground I have the opportunity to garden is priceless, and if you too love to garden, I wish you many similar days of enjoyment. 

The more we engage in activities and pastimes that nourish us, the more we both heal ourselves when unwanted moments and chapters in our lives arrive - sometimes known to be near, but often unknown - and care for ourselves well to deepen our contentment in our everydays when all is moving along at a familiar pace and with familiar circumstance. 

When an unwanted, and entirely unexpected or prepared for moment arose this past month in my own life, after a good night's sleep, I woke up and headed to the garden, and you know what? The healing was instantaneous! Partly because such a pastime holds me wholly in the present moment, exhausts in the most wonderful of ways my body and my mind, but also because progress is immediately seen and hope for a brighter and more beautiful tomorrow fills my imagination, and I have no time, space or energy to dwell on what I cannot control nor can do absolutely nothing about. 

So whenever life presents you with unwanted occurrences, choose to prioritize and engage in pastimes that nourish you. Only you will know which pastimes these will be and no one else's approval is required. 

Spring's arrival in many ways signifies the awesome opportunity to step forward into new opportunities and dare to trust that your inner compass knows the way, even if you have never done what you are about to dare to do. Just take the next best step, then follow it with the next next best step, and eventually, I am confident, you will find yourself at the end of spring in a beautiful new space of your life's journey.
